A Dinner Thyme session in progress

How do I know what size pan to use for each entrée I will be preparing?

On our View Menus page, each entrée includes what type of pan to use along with its description. Dinner Thyme provides disposable baking pans at every cooking session. As a general rule, entrées requiring a 9" x 13" pan are used for meals that serve 4-6 people. For meals serving 2-3 people, you will use an 8"x 8" pan.

Do I need to know how to cook before coming to Dinner Thyme?

No, Dinner Thyme is for everyone—novice and pro alike! Each prep station features straightforward step-by-step assembly instructions that are easy to follow. If for any reason you have questions during your Dinner Thyme session, just ask our friendly staff and they will be happy to assist you.

How many people will one Dinner Thyme entrée serve?

One entrée will serve 4-6 people, depending on portion size. We also offer our customers an opportunity to make entrées for 2-3 people when scheduled through a special session.

Are Dinner Thyme entrées “kid tested”?

We do our best to make each entrée family friendly, which is why we change our menus every month to accommodate a variety of tastes. When assembling your Dinner Thyme meals, you have the option to omit ingredients or add spices as you see fit.

What if I have a smaller family or I am single and do not have a need for the larger entrées?

Dinner Thyme offers two options to accommodate smaller families and individuals:

  1. During a general session (each entrée is designed to feed 4-6 people), simply use two of the required baking pans for each entrée so that you are able to divide each entrée into two.

    OR

  2. Dinner Thyme offers sessions every month dedicated to preparing the same tasty Dinner Thyme meals for smaller families and individuals (each entrée is designed to feed 2-3 people).

Click here for this month's schedule. Look for the Smaller Families and Individuals icon:

When attending a general session, can I make 6 entrées instead of 12?

No. When registering for the general sessions, you must choose a total of 12 entrées. However, Dinner Thyme offers Split Sessions every month where you can choose just 6 entrées that will feed 4-6 people each.

Is it possible to request the same entrée more than once in a single session?

Yes. Dinner Thyme offers you the flexibility of selecting the same entrée up to three times, which will feed up to 18 people. This is great for parties and family get-togethers.

How often does the Dinner Thyme menu change?

Every month. Be sure to check our Menu page frequently for updates!

How much does a General Session cost?

Each general session is $210 for 12 entrées that feed 4-6 people, or less than $3.00 per person, per entrée. Please refer to About Our Prices for a complete breakdown of all prices at Dinner Thyme.

What if I need to reschedule my Dinner Thyme session?

Due to the amount of planning each Dinner Thyme session requires, refunds will not be available to customers canceling within 48 hours of their session. If this is the case, we are happy to assemble your meals for you to pick up for an additional charge of $50, or you will receive a session credit that must be used within 2 weeks of your canceled session. If canceling your session more than 48 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund.

Can I bring my child to my Dinner Thyme session?

In order to ensure the best experience possible, and in consideration of others, please leave your children at home. Dinner Thyme offers Parent/Child sessions every month for customers who wish to share their Dinner Thyme experience with children 10 years of age and older.

Please see our schedule for dates and times available. Look for the Parent/Child Session icon:

What is the recommended procedure for thawing my entrées?

Dinner Thyme recommends thawing your entrées in your refrigerator for 24-36 hours, or until completely thawed. Other suggested methods of thawing include: submerged under cold running water in your sink (probably best with entrées in Ziploc® bags), or in the microwave if the food will be cooked immediately after thawing. Never thaw your entrées at room temperature. This can cause bacteria to grow and can be very dangerous to your health. To learn more, visit our Food Information page.

How long will my Dinner Thyme entrées keep in the freezer?

The amount of time will vary depending on the type of food. Please refer to our Food Information page for a complete list.
